Our Favorite Coffee Shops in the Neighborhood

Our Favorite Coffee Shops in the NeighborhoodCoffee Shops in the Neighborhood” />

I absolutely love exploring new coffee shops in my neighborhood. As someone who drinks 2-3 cups of coffee every day, finding places that serve quality coffee and provide a great atmosphere is so important. Here are my top favorite coffee shops within walking distance from my home that I frequent on a regular basis.

The Daily Grind

The Daily Grind is my go-to spot on weekends and days when I have more time. It’s about a 10 minute walk from my house.

I love the relaxing, rustic vibe of this coffee shop. There are some comfy couches and chairs, as well as tables and counter seating. My favorite spot is a chair by the window where I can sip my coffee, enjoy some people-watching, and get lost in a good book.

The coffee itself is fantastic. They brew bold, flavorful coffee that always tastes super fresh. I also appreciate that they have dairy-free options like almond and oat milk. Their baked goods are amazing too – I highly recommend the morning buns!

The baristas are also very friendly and often remember my usual order. I’ve met several neighbors here who have become good friends. The Daily Grind has a real sense of community.

Brews Lee

Brews Lee is slightly closer to my house, about a 5 minute walk. It’s smaller and minimalist in decor, but is a great spot to get work done.

They have free and stable WiFi, which is perfect for when I need to work remotely. There are several quiet nooks and a long communal table where I can set up my laptop and be productive for a few hours.

Brews Lee has an extensive drink menu with coffees, teas, smoothies, and other fun beverages. My go-to order is an iced vanilla latte, made with their house-roasted espresso beans – it has the perfect amount of sweetness and caffeine kick.

The baristas are really friendly and often give me recommendations. I also enjoy the music they play here – usually relaxinginstrumentals or indie music.

Cafe Loco

Cafe Loco has a very lively, vibrant atmosphere so I like to go there when I need an energy boost or want to socialize. It’s about a 12 minute walk from my place.

The wall art and decor here is very colorful and funky. There are couches, coffee tables, and even board games that make it easy to hang out with friends for hours.

Cafe Loco has a full food and drink menu with lots of unique specialties like lavender lattes and matcha frosties. Their breakfast tacos and empanadas are delicious too.

They often host fun events like open mic nights, trivia nights, and even speed friending! I’ve made quite a few connections here. The baristas are so friendly and bubbly too. Cafe Loco just has such a fun, high energy ambiance.

When I’m feeling social, restless, or need some inspiration, Cafe Loco is my go-to coffee shop.

Conclusion

I feel so fortunate to have such amazing coffee shops within walking distance from my home. The Daily Grind, Brews Lee, and Cafe Loco all offer quality coffee in comfortable spaces, but each has their own unique vibe and community. Coffee shops are such important spaces for connection and creativity beyond just the caffeine boost. I look forward to continuing to support my neighborhood coffee shops!
